in my new year holidays i  got some time to take  pictures of my tank

Tank size : ADA (do!que) 60p
substrate:ADA Amazonia, ADA powder stand special M
Filter:NATURISM overflow, Ehiem compact + marine pump, 25 litres DIY acrylic sump,
Light:ATI dimmable fixture 24x6 ( bulbs 2 x aqua flora, 2x  midday,1 x ATI special blue, 1x Odysea 6500k)
fertz: Macro DIY solution (Kno3,k2so4,kh2po4,Mgso4,Cacl2) + tropica as Micro
Dosing method:Estimative Index
Flora: Tonina sp.'Uaupes',Tonina fluviatilis,Tonina sp.'Manaus',
Erio Sp. Australia Red, Erio green, Pearl grass
Funa: 15 Blue tetras, 10 cherry shrimps, 2 Ocats

Water Parameters:
ph 6.9 normal, 5.6 after carbon injection,
KH 2,
GH 5,
temperature :27-29 C,
Nitrate:15-20ppm, Potassium 15-20ppm,Phosphate:2-3ppm
Light:8 hours photoperiod, (60 PAR for 4 hours & 4 hours 85-100 PAR at substrate)
20 to 50%  water change every week

 in Thailand its  a common misconception that overflow and sumps are only for marine tanks , this is not true
There are couple of advantages of using overflow and sump setup for planted tank over canister filter
like
1) Increase of overall water volume, more water more stable is the tank
2) in Thailand due to high temperature water gets vaporized too much, sump helps in maintaining water levels in tank  no need to top up water everyday
3)low maintenance and Easy to clean then canister filter
4)All accessories like Fan and co2 diffusers,  goes all in sump and tank  gets a clean look, dosing pumps can be easily installed on sump
5)water flow can be adjusted very well a Good quality return pump like (ehiem) comes handy and noise free
 6)Wet & dry filters draw lot of oxygen into tank and overflow keeps the water surface crystal clear, this helps good gas exchange ,
here are the pictures on how i implemented the the overflow and sump,
Note: pictures where taken from a mobile so they might not be clear, i will take more pictures and post it
Sump with two chambers is enough for planted tank, the only catch is the sump input should be sealed
properly  so that co2 doesn't gets escape as water flows inside the sump , i use electric tape to seal it and it works like charm,

This tank used only carbon liquid ??

i use only  Co2 gas, i don't use any liquid carbon like (Excel and Aquamania)  , i don't follow bubbles per second rule, i dont use any  drop checkers, what  i use is a  ph meter to check my Co2  levels and  PH/KH chart as a guide ,
 usually i am on the red side of chart, this is not the most accurate way to determine the Co2 levels but its more  accurate then counting bubbles and drop checker

Pearl grass was too Dense did some trimming yesterday, Blood Vomit  (Erio Sp Red Australia) where big enough so i split it  in 4  plants , removed pearl grass from the center and made some space  for Erio's  to grow

Agreed, usually i do not focus much on aquascape, my main focus are plants give me some ideas how we can make this tank look better

Tonina's are shitty plants, they too  sensitive to KH, they love and grow at lower kH (less then 4) ,they need good Co2 ,  tonina's has a week root system they absorb more nutrients from water source ,so good balance of Macro and Micro  is important,  if u need a big head then try high light (80 to 100 PAR) if you want small head  then low light should do the trick  tonina fluviatilis are less sensitive then  tonina Belem or .'Uaupes' try growing tonina fluviatilis first, tweak your water parameters if it works then go for others
Note:This is from my own experience,others may have different experience ,i don't guarantee that my suggestions  might work for others,  but its nothing bad in trying as we learn from each others experiences

First, I've a question.
How do you change mechanical filter or maintenance trickle filter? You need to peel that tape off?

And about your tank.

Your tank has been incredibly well maintain, but it's too symmetrical, man! It's unnatural.
Perhaps.. put some "Art" in it, here and there might be good.

Hi khun Bang, your right to change the mechanical filter you need to peel off the tape  its true , but adding a prefilter/net at the overflow, avoids clogging the mechanical filter too fast ,  i didn't change the mechanical filter yet  its nearly 6 months now
ha that is true, soon i am planing to rescape the tank , i have lot of dragon stones  laying around,
well, i am more over a plant lover, i am good in growing different types of plants with different types of fishes,   so i keep aqusacaping to minimum,  i always start with what plants and fishes i am going to put , what environment they like, water condition, light,  DIY nutrients etc, then i think of aquscape, so all the time my plants and ecosystem is healthy but aqusacape is mess , 5555 ,
 yesterday i had to remove some tonina's to make space for others as they were growing to dense, look this picture below,i even don't know what to do with these stems, they are 10 inches long each stem has 4 to 5 branches, around 15 of them

Usually, If I have an excess plant too much to trade or spread around my friends. I gave it to some shop in JJ that have a tank setup job, They love it. It'll never be wasted.

I'd have a bad feeling if I had to throw my plant to a trash. Hell, I even hate it when I saw someone did!
