Spear shrimp (http://www.azgardens.com/images/MalaysianRainbowShrimp2003-.gif) Size: up to 1", pH: 6.5+7.5, Temp: 20 to 25C Origin: India These are becoming very popular with aquarists as they are inexpensive shrimp and YES they do eat green hair algae! We have had some awesome colors appear on our Rainbow's (hence the name Rainbow Shrimp). We have seen Bright Blue, Rust Red to Dark Brown, Deep Yellow/Tan, and some other colors. They are about the same size as a Red Cherrys or maybe a hair bigger. The picture above shows a Rainbow shrimp in a more Blue coloration. Combats Green Hair Algae. Size at shipping: assorted about 1/2" and up |
